*Owing to the Covid-19 pandemic special care and facilities are extended in CWC complex, Kalkaji
*DCWD should engage Child Welfare Committees to create such facilities in other areas also

Delhi Women and Child Development Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam today inaugurated the newly renovated child friendly CWC complex at Kalkaji, South Delhi. On this occasion, Anurag Kundu, Chairperson of DCPCR and and Rashmi Singh, Director, Department of Women and Child Development, along with Director of World vision were also present.
With an aim of providing a child friendly environment, the Department of Women and Child Development has made available the best infrastructure and facilities at CWC complex. In view of covid-19 pandemic, all essential facilities are created to keep the children hale and hearty without compromising the necessary health precautions. World Vision Indian and Child Welfare Committee VIII, South Delhi in collaboration developed a unique child friendly complex at South East Delhi intending to provide a good platform for the needs, care and protection of the children through informative, entertaining and child friendly environment.


The Delhi Women and Child Development Minister appreciated the work of Child Welfare Committee, kalkaji for providing care, protection and lauded the efforts in direction of saving rights of children through sincere supervision and monitoring work. Hon’ble Minister said that all necessary efforts to strengthen the child welfare committees would be made and for this, the subject of protection the rights of children is given utmost priority. For this, a smooth coordination is established between DCPCR, child welfare committees and department of women and child development.
Shri Rajendra Pal Gautam advised the Department of Women and Child Development to ensure that the rest of the Child Welfare Committees also make efforts to provide child friendly ambiance in their respective areas. He also thanked the ‘World vision’ for assisting and creating a friendly ambience to children residing at CWC Kalkaji as it would be quite helpful for them to get rid of the state of psychological trauma or conflict.
The Chairperson, DCPCR welcomed the initiative of the Delhi Government and requested to extend similar ambiance and facilities at all such legal forums where child in conflict or child in distress approaches for seeking help in care and protection of educational rights.
